The MPI has 96 LED lights to assist when pipetting into a microplate. The LED lights can be programmed (via software which is included) to illuminate under specific wells, columns or rows of a microplate which is used to keep track when dispensing into or aspirating from a microplate. It is especially ideal for tracking the pipetting of colourless reagents or small liquid volumes and remembering your place when interrupted. For truly hands free operation, an optional footswitch for stepping the MPI through its sequence is available.
